Third Level Graduate program
The Third Level Graduate program is the primary pathway that allows international students to work in Ireland after graduation by granting post-study work rights through Stamp 1G permission. This allows Irish-educated graduates from non-European Economic Area (EEA) countries to remain in Ireland for employment for 12 months they:
- currently hold a Stamp 2 student immigration permission and an up-to-date immigration registration card and have not already exceeded the seven-year limit on their permission as a non-EEA national student
- have completed their studies in Ireland on any program listed on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP)
- hold at least a Level 8 qualification (Honours bachelor’s degree or higher) from a recognised Irish awarding body
- are legally residing in the country.
Students must apply within six months of being notified of their qualification. Graduates within the program can work up to 40 hours per week. Those who want to work more hours must obtain a relevant work permit. If a graduate intends to work for a longer period, their Stamp 1G permission may be extended for another year under certain conditions.
